Frequently asked questions

CRYMBL is a service for securely sharing notes, files and file requests. All content is end-to-end encrypted – only the sender and the intended recipient can read it.
No. Encryption and decryption happen exclusively in your browser (zero-knowledge). Our servers only ever hold unreadable ciphertext – we have no access to plaintext, passwords or keys.
Then the content can no longer be decrypted – not even by us. That is not a flaw but part of the security promise: no key, no access. So keep your link and password somewhere safe.
When you create something, you decide how long it stays valid and how often it may be opened. After that it automatically becomes inaccessible.
Recipients do not need an account to open shared content. To create and manage your own content and to use advanced features, an account is worthwhile.
CRYMBL is developed and operated in Germany and designed for GDPR compliance. Thanks to the zero-knowledge principle, your unencrypted content never leaves your device in the first place.
There are several plans from Basic to Enterprise. You will find an overview on our pricing page.
Just send us an email. We are happy to help – though for security reasons we can neither view nor restore your content.
